About Captain Joardan and his Family
Captain Joardan was born and raised in Juneau, AK. He spent his summers commercial fishing with his Dad out Hoonah, AK (Icy Strait). His Grandpa Joar immigrated from Norway around the age of 19, and settled in Hoonah, where he raised his family. Captain Joardan and his wife Maraiya, also born and raised in Juneau, AK, have been together since 2007 and have created a wonderful life raising their 4 children between Juneau, AK and Hoonah, AK. They’ve owned and operated Hoonah Whale Tours since 2016. They are very proud of their company and life they are building in AK and can’t wait to share it with you!
